TITLE

The title summarizes the main idea or ideas of your study.

ABSTRACT

It is a brief summary of a research article, thesis, review, conference proceeding, or any

in-depth analysis of a particular subject and is often used to help the reader quickly

ascertain the paper's purpose.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

In research paper, it refers to the section at the beginning of your thesis formatting where

you show your appreciation for the people who contributed to your research.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

It is an organized listing of the chapters and major sections of your research paper.

INTRODUCTION

It serves the purpose of leading the reader from a general subject area to a particular field

of research.
BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

It includes a review of the area being researched, current information surrounding the

issue, previous studies on the issue, and relevant history on the issue.

STATEMENT O F THE PROBLEM

The statement of the problem is used in research work as a claim that outlines the

problem addressed by a study.

OBJECTIVES

It summarizes the accomplishments a researcher wishes to achieve through the project

and provides direction to the study.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

It provides details on how the study will contribute such as what the study will contribute

and who will benefit from it.

SCOPE AND LIMITATION

It discusses the coverage and limitations of the research.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

It is a detailed review of existing literature related to the topic of a thesis.

THEORETICAL BACKGROUND

It introduces and describes the theory that explains why the research problem under study

exists.
HYPOTHESIS

It’s a precise testable statement of researcher’s prediction of the outcome of the study

DEFINITION OF TERMS

It is an alphabetical list of important terms or acronyms that you define, particularly

ambiguous terms.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

It is the specific procedures or techniques used to identify, select, process, and analyze

information about the research topic.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

It refers to the totality of outcomes.

CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

It is the interpretations given by the researcher of the significance of the findings of a

research project along with recommendations for the future studies.

BIBLIOGRAPHY

It is a list of all of the sources you have used in the process of researching your work.

APPENDIX

It serves as a space for materials that help clarify your research, but do not belong in the

main text.
CURRICULUM VITAE

It is a comprehensive statement of your educational background, teaching, and research
