This document provides an outline and explanations for the typical sections of an education position paper, including:
- An introduction with background information on the topic and a clear statement of the research problem
- Scope and limitations of the study to define what is and isn't included
- A review of relevant literature to demonstrate knowledge of theories and research in the field
- Expected sections for results and discussion backed by the literature
- A summary, conclusions, and recommendations to complete the paper in line with the introduction and findings.

Preliminaries Title Page The title page should contain the following information:
The Title of the Topic
The name of the student and below it is the month and the year ( see attachment a) Table of Contents Arranged in the format attached Chapter 1 THE INTRODUCTION Situation The background of the study is an important part of your Analysis research paper. This section highlights the empirical foundation of the proposed thesis/research study. In many ways, this section of your thesis proposal is deceptively straightforward. On one level, the purpose of a background section is to give the reader the relevant facts about your topic so that they understand the material that you are writing about and how it links to your research question. This section must not, however, simply provide the general context, but must direct the readers' attention to the empirical details through which your research topic and question are lived and made relevant. As such, this writing must not just fill in details of the topic you are researching, but implicitly illustrate the need for and importance of your research Statement of the Statement of the Problem Problem A statement of the problem is a way of expressing your interest in a problem or phenomenon. Research questions are not necessarily an attempt to answer the many philosophical questions that often arise in schools, and they are certainly not intended to be an avenue for grinding personal axes regarding classroom or school issues. You may have more than one research question for a study, depending on the complexity and breadth of your proposed work. Each question should be clear and specific, refer to the problem or phenomenon, reflect an intervention in experimental work, and note the target population or participants. Identifying a research question will provide greater focus to your research or clarify the direction of your investigation, whether the research is descriptive or experimental. It is composed of the General and specific problems Parts Explanation / Sample Limitations of the The limitations of the study is where the researcher would study state the coverage and restrictions of the study. The scope will mention all the variables that will be used in the study while the limitations will be mentioning the portion of the study is not covered by the research. This part will define the boundaries and variables that are not part of the study. Moreover, the reader would be able to determine what are included in the study and what are not. Review of Conducting a literature review is a means of Literature demonstrating an author’s knowledge about a particular field of study, including vocabulary, theories, key variables and phenomena, and its methods and history. Conducting a literature review also informs the student of the influential researchers and research groups in the field and with some modification, the literature review is a “legitimate and publishable scholarly document” (LeCompte & colleagues, 2003, p. 124).1 The written review of literature (also called Background) presents an argument that justifies your choice of topic and the way you have chosen to address it. the researcher has to begin the review with the most general aspects of the topic and gradually narrow it until it implies the research questions or hypotheses. the researcher have to define, also, any specialized terms as he introduce them. Provide the general context for the proposed study. This can be done in terms of a general overview of the field, with a description of a classic study or studies, on the basis of history of the field, grounded in a theory to be tested, or with other context setting methods.2 Note: The arrangement of literature is thematic. This means that the arrangement of the SOP is also the arrangement of the literature Chapter 2 RESULTS AND The arrangement of the SOP should also be the DISCUSSIONS arrangement of the Results and Discussion. The discussions of results should be backed up by the literature cited in the Review of Literature Summary The contents of the summary includes the title of the paper, the general and specific problems and the scope and limitations. Conclusions One paragraph will summarize the conclusions. Recommendations One paragraph will summarize the recommendations Note: In the conclusions and recommendations, your position will be stated. (eg. either you are agreeing or not to what was presented. Parts Explanation / Sample Findings The findings is arranged according to how the SOP and Results and Discussion were arranged. Thus, the findings is as a one sentence (or a summary of the discussion for each problem). This means that the number of findings should also correspond to the number problems stated. Conclusions From the findings of the study, it’s time to formulate the conclusions. The conclusions are the implication of the findings. This means that this is the statement of the a deeper meaning of the findings as implicated in the title of study. Furthermore, the conclusions are based from the findings not the reiteration of it. Recommendations The recommendation of the study is based from the conclusions. What is missing in the conclusion, or the gap of the findings of study, is where the recommendation should come from.
