Dear Panel Judges,
My time in Leading Edge has transformed me. I went to Leading Edge in sixth grade with
most of the knowledge today, but Leading Edge has had a bigger impact. Leading Edge
Academy has changed how I write and talk, how I present presentations and how I work in a
group. Leading Edge has pushed me to now be a position where I am confident I will
succeed first in high school, then, in college. They have left a bigger impact on my
philosophy. An impact so large it will stay there for years to come.
Though I havent joined any sports for Leading Edge until this year, I am planning on joining
track and field. I have made one achievement in the extracurricular part. I have been in
math club for all three years of the time I have been here in NCS. Though I would probably
say this is my moms achievement more than mine, I have never skipped a day of school in
those three years unless it was excused. My best achievement, for all three years so far, is
that I have gotten an average of 4.5-5.5 for every class for every trimester. If you had had
experience in Leading Edge, then you would know that we have a grading system of 1-5.
one being a zero on an assignment, and 5 being 100% or more. But occasionally, a student
could get a 6. A grade where teachers have to override the system to give, I have received
7 sixes as a grade so far, all of them in the same classes. Both classes just happen to be my
favorites, Social Studies, and Language Arts. ELA has changed how I write research papers,
Math has taught me better studying skills, history has taught me how to read long
textbooks, expressions taught me art, and science taught me well, science. I could say
that I have never learned so much in three years.
Leading Edge has transformed me into a person who will succeed, all the way to college.
And I will never regret the footsteps I have taken in the three years I have been here at
Leading Edge.
