ON (‘SOBRE’)
• Usamos on para decir que algo está sobre o cerca de
una línea o algo parecido a una línea (un río, una
carretera)
– The calendar is on the wall.
– Carlisle is on the road to Glasgow
– The file is on the table.
• On también se usa para hablar de una localización fija
cerca del agua
– We have offices on Lake Windermere
– California is on the Pacific coast.

IN (‘DENTRO DE’)
• In se utiliza para decir que algo está dentro de
– I think I left my jacket in the bathroom
– The money is in my bag.
• Con áreas amplias (países, regiones, etc.)
– I have a house in Jersey
– San Francisco is in California.

AT (‘EN’ un lugar)
• Se utiliza para decir que alguien/algo esta en, pero ni
‘dentro de’, ni ‘sobre’:
– We all sat at the table for the meeting.
– He is waiting at the bus stop.
• En un lugar público:
– My boss is at the bank.
– The train stops at Brighton.
• Para el trabajo, el hogar y el colegio:
– I was at work, my husband was at home and my children
were at school.
