Do You Consist Of Copper and Tellurium? Because Youre CuTe

Q1) Was the mass of the 20 pennies equal to 20 times the mass of one penny? Explain.
The mass of the 20 pennies is not equal to 2o times the mass of one penny
because most of the pennies had different masses, causing a variety in the average mass.
Most different years had different masses, leaving several categories.
Q2) How can you explain the fact that there are different isotopes of pennium?
There are different isotopes of pennium because, although most of the pennies
have the same physical and chemical properties, the slight difference in material that
results in mass and observation changes from year to year. An isotope is defined as
two
or more forms of the same element that contain equal numbers of protons but different
numbers of neutrons in their nuclei, so having the years represent the neutrons in this
pennium example proves that pennium has different isotopes because the penny does
not chemically change.
Q3) Why are atomic masses for most elements not whole numbers?
The atomic masses for most elements are not whole numbers because of the huge
variety in masses for each different isotope. For instance, if the atomic mass of each
isotope is 6, and 5 respectively, the average would come out to be 5.5 amu. Adding onto
this idea, having so many different isotopes at a larger rate than just two really only
leaves such a small window of opportunity to have a whole number for the average
atomic masses.
