Class Organisation Resources/Equipment

(Individual task structure, differentiation)

(Content & KTP)

(Position of teacher/students, setup/working area/grids for class, transitions)

Each student will receive

a tail

Ensure that during

warm up all students
are active and
participating

Teacher should be placed in a position to view two

fields as this will be best to accommodate for all
students.

Tails is played within a

marked out area by
teacher usually a 10x10
square
The aim of this activity is
to get all students
moving and running.
Students much take
other players tails then
adding them to
themselves. The student
with the most tails at the
end of the time limit is
the winner.

2 grids so that there is a lot of space for students

KTPs:
There are no KTPs
within this game as
this is a warm up
game with no football
skills involved

This game should be

played a couple of times
to make sure that all
students are warmed up

Students are indicated as blue and teacher is yellow

standing in a central position where he/she can see
both

games.

9:08am

9:10am

Bridging organization

Bring all students in as well as cones into teacher ready for next activity as well as recap of KTPs
form previous weeks
TARGET PRACTICE

KTPs for Kicking:

Students at this age will

love to play
competitively and will
love to play with a
scoring system.

Line body up with

target
Have head slightly
bent over the ball

Teacher should have small grids set out so that there

is enough space for 6 groups, and these groups are
not interfering
Image of what one group will look like:

Hold ball over thigh of

kicking leg
This game is played in
groups of 6 (1 kicker, 5
receivers)
The kicker will have 5
balls he/she must kick to
3 stationary targets each
worth 1 point each and
then 2 moving targets
each worth 3 points
each. At the end the
kicker remembers their
score and everyone
rotates through being
the kicker and a winner

Guide the ball down

with one hand
Point your toes at
target and watch the
ball impact with foot
Follow through
straight at target

is decided in the group

of six.

Bridging organization

Students will come into teacher with cones. Teacher will then announce that they will be playing a
handball game. As this has been played before students will know how to setup and play can
commence straight away.
Handball Game (2
goals)

KTPs for
Handballing:

This game will have 2

small teams of 8 on
each field and the
objective is to handball
the ball through the
designated areas (the
goals).

Ball must be gripped

firmly with the
platform hand

Students must only

handball the ball and
must not kick the ball.
Once the ball hits the
ground that will be a
turnover and the other
team will proceed with
play from where the ball
has hit the ground.

9:37am

9:40am

Placing thumb
outside, not inside,
the fingers form a
clenched fist

For this game there will be 2 fields set up to

maximise space and have more players involved.
Again, like the warm up drill the teacher will be
placed in the central positon where both fields can be
seen.
This image shows what one field would look like:

Nearly side on with

target
Place opposite
forward towards the
target
With clenched fist and
slightly bent elbow
punch through the ball
towards target.

Bridging organization

Students will be able to get a quick drink and then will go straight out into a half field football
match using red teams and blue teams.
Half Field Football
Half field Football is a
simple game that does
not need any setting up
as there will already be
access to the field and
will only need to be
outlined goals and
boundary using cones or
this may already be
marked out.

KTPs for handballing,

kicking and marking
do not need to be
used as kids would
like to go straight into
the game and these
can be revised next
lesson.

Teacher will be officiating the game but will be doing

more teaching. This means that the game will be very
stop start in order for the teaching to give
constructive feedback on certain KTPS.

The red team will play

the blue team for 10
minutes and there must
be possession over the
half way line to go from
defender to attacker
then 6 possession in
attacking half before
goal is scored.
