Re: Felicia Short

I have known Felicia Short in a variety of capacities for many years. She was a former
stand out student at Mancelona High School, and fortunately for Mancelona Schools, has
returned on several occasions to observe our classrooms and meet with staff members.
During Felicias high school career, she enrolled in the Teacher Academy program
through the Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District and I was her mentor teacher.
It was a pleasure working with Felicia, as she was a conscientious student who was eager
to learn all there was about the teaching profession. Felicias motivation and
determination to perform well in all areas of the Teacher Academy program was an
inspiration to students and staff. After high school, Felicia carried her dedicated spirit to
Ferris State Universitys School of Education, where she has continued to seek many
opportunities to learn about the field of education.
Felicia is organized, efficient, extremely competent, and has an excellent rapport with
people of all ages. She always demonstrates a caring and professional attitude with
students, as well as all members of our school staff.
In summary, I highly recommend Felicia for any position or endeavor that she may seek
to pursue. She will be a valuable asset to any school system.
