As a member of sponsorship, we should begin with emails. Email every Small Media
Enterprise (SME) we can find online. We must have a clear idea of what we can offer in return
to the people that sponsored us. As for us, we were able offer space in the banner, free tickets,
and free publicities on social medias. We managed to get SheIdore and JC Rainbow as our
sponsors.
Besides that, we also conducted crowd-funding. We went around the area to collect
funds to support the play. While going around we would bring a letter of approval from the
faculty with us to avoid being called a scam.
We also conducted sales such as food sales such as hotdog bun sales, cupcakes and
herbal eggs. We also sold pre-loved items and ticket selling to raise fund.
Besides that, there is also the annual carwash and room cleaning service.
As for the email, there are a few things that are very important. For example, name,
where are you from, intention of the email, signature at the end. There will a sample email to be
referred below in page 2. We would normally reply the email in two days. That would ensure
efficiency and sincerity while dealing with the person in charge. We would also have to follow up
every week to know the progress. While sending the email, do attach a proposal to it as a guide
to the person in charge. If email does not work, call up the people in charge.

I am Eddie Tan Wai Kian a student of Modern Language and Communication Faculty in
University Putra Malaysia, taking English Literature with the matrix number of 174764,
and am also part of the production team -BAELIT PRODUCTION, for the upcoming
event organized by our Faculty.
With all due respect, we would like to request for your consideration in being one of our
sponsor for this production. This year, we will be staging Gormenghast which is a tale
of adventure and the search of selfhood. Our productions goal is to discover new
talents, nourish creativities and of course to enhance love and understanding for
literature.
Staging days are set on the 4th and 5th of December 2015 in Experimental Theater,
UPM. We are estimating a total of 1000 audience for this production, thus, we truly need
a lot of help from your company in order to make staging day possible.

and possibly our banner if you will be kind and willing enough to put in a full
consideration of giving us the most possible amount or form of sponsorship. We are
also trying to request for a tax exemption from the university upon any sponsors in the
form of money.
