I am responding on behalf of the superintendent of schools who, as official custodian of records for the school system, is responsible for replies under the Maryland Public Information Act, Title 4 of the General Provisions (GP) Article. Per request # 1, please find enclosed the maintenance guidelines provided by the manufacturer. Artificial turf maintenance is provided through annual maintenance contracts to ensure that ‘warranties remain in effect throughout the warranty period. Per request #2, because the artifical turf field maintenance is provided through an annual contract, any maintenance reports are maintained by the installer. Per request # 3, as you may be aware, the field adjacent to Montgomery Blair High School is owned and maintained by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Any requests related to the operation and maintenance of that field should be directed to that agency as, wwe have no records related to that field.
