WHY IS THIS AN IMPORTANT TRAIT?
Being an Honorable Citizen is an important trait that everyone should possess. It is an individual
who believes in the truth and doing the right thing for their community. They stand up against
harmful words and actions and participate in school activities. They respect and show
consideration toward all students and staff and embrace the diversity among the students. We live
to those high principles and have dignity, compassion, and respect for others.

HOW DO YOU DEMONSTRATE THIS TRAIT IN YOUR DAILY LIFE?

Being an honorable citizen is a very helpful characteristic in a community. It shows how much
you care for the safety of others. It is important to accept the diversity between people and to
stand up against anything harmful. This trait will help me in the future by letting me become a
better person for society and myself. During years at SHS I have participated in many clubs and
organizations that all had the same goal, to help others. I have volunteered my time and have
donated many items to the less fortunate. I will continue to be an honorable citizen and to keep
on doing great things for others.

YOU ACTIVELY DEMONSTRATE THIS TRAIT?
This NSHSS Award demonstrates that I am an honorable citizen because it shows that I have
participated in school activities and maintained academic excellence. This organization accepts
everyone no matter what your background may be. It is an opportunity to better yourself and
others. You just have to embrace the diversity around you and accept them for who they are.
Being a participant in anything positive can show that you are a great citizen and how you make
a great contribution to society.
