Kappa Delta Theta Iota to support National and Local Philanthropies with
Shamrock Event
Grand Forks, ND The Theta Iota chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority will be hosting
their annual Shamrock event on Saturday March 6, 2016 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the
Central High School Gymnasium. Theta Iotas Shamrock event is a kickball
tournament and silent auction called Kickin it with KD. This event is in support of
their national philanthropy Prevent Child Abuse America. 80 percent of the proceeds
made at this event will benefit the local Prevent Child Abuse North Dakota chapter
and 20 percent will go to national PCAA.
This event will have teams from fellow Greek organizations on UNDs campus, as
well as other non-greek organizations. The community is welcome to participate and
support those competing in the tournament. The silent auction on Saturday will
begin at 1:30 p.m. Raffle tickets are available for purchase the week of Feb. 29March 4 at the UND Memorial Union and at the door. This event is open to the
public.
Kappa Delta sorority has supported PCAA since 1981 and has raised and donated
over $18 million to prevent child abuse in our country. Kappa Delta chapters across
the nation host Shamrock Events to raise money for national a local child abuse
prevention efforts. Each event varies and is specific to each chapter. To learn more
