Citizenship Pledge

Digital citizenship is a concept that helps teachers and parents understand what
students should know to use technology correctly. It teaches students how to go be
when they use the Internet and how to stop cyber-bullying. Cyber-bullying is when a
child is harassed, embarrassed, threatened or targeted but other children on the
Internet. Cyber-bullying is a very big issue and having you and your child know
about digital citizenship you can help stop it.

Get to know the services and websites that my child uses.
Teach my child that all technology users should be
treated the same and to NEVER take part in cyber-
bullying.
Spend time to teach my child to protect their technology.
Teach my child that some material on the Internet cannot
be taken without permission.
Teach my child how to use digital communication
methods and when they are appropriate.
