Story line

(Kitaotao Bukidnon)
There are two beautiful women named Apo Tambunaway and Apo Imamalu
who lived in sinuda Kitaotao. They lived peacefully and harmoniously in that place.
One day a group of muslims came to that place and saw this beautiful
women, and to make the story short one raja got married to Apo Tambunaway and
apo tambunaway was converted into muslim.
Since then, Apo Imamalu and Apo Tambunaway had an agreement, Apo
Imamalu will stay in the upper land and Apo Tambunaway will stay with his husband
together with the muslims in the low lands.
The time had passed their descendants have multiplied.
The Muslims had an attitude encouraging non-Muslims to be converted into
Muslims, one day a descendant of Apo Tambunaway Came to the place of the
descendants of Apo Immalu encouraging them (the matigsalug) to be converted
into Muslim specifically in the person of Apo Kuyaso the leader of the tribe that
time.
Apo Kuyaso did not accept the offer and become angry and able to kill the
person who encouraged him to be converted into Muslim. These happenings had
spread all over the place in the lowlands. The Muslims got angry and hated the
matigsalug. There was a great chaos that cme between the two clans.
Apo kuyaso planned to defeat the Muslims by their abilities and rituals. He
gather nest of rats and a trompo and conduct a ritual to it. Once the nest of rats is
being soaked in the river, all off the muslims who were able to use the water will be
sick and have skin deseases. The trompo is being placed in the food of the muslims
that once the muslim cooked their food, their food will turn into worms.
A lot of muslims died because of this curse. They have surrendered and offer
a peace agreement. Apo Kuyaso accepts the offer because he himself also wants
peace. They have conducted a blood compact ritual. They exchanged a bit of their
blood to be drunk, Apo Kuyaso had put chili and panyawan into his blood so that the
muslim will bear in their mind that Matigsalog are really strong and fighter people
like the taste of their blood.
They had made an agreement that no one should make a first step that leads
to chaos because if one of clans will do such things, all of their descendants will die
(mahabayan) or cursed to death.

After that agreement, Matigsalog and Muslims became cousins. Peace had
observed in both clans. They have celebrated joyfully because they are no longer
enemies but as cousins.
