Teach English Language Arts (reading, writing, and grammar) to all students grades 5th
through 8th.
Teach religion and spelling/vocabulary to 6th grade homeroom students.
Utilize whole class instruction, small groups in terms of differentiated MAPs groups and
book clubs, and one on one instruction.
Developed classroom routines, procedures, expectations, and instructional goals.
Utilized technology as an instructional tool by creating and maintaining a classroom
website, using EasiTeach technology, guiding students in use of new technologies
including Padlet and Weebly, and utilizing Google Docs on a daily basis.
Employ classroom management skills including a positive behavioral plan in order to
maximize instructional time where students are recognized as students of the week for
going beyond the expectations of our class.
Assess students using both formative and summative assessments.
Collaborate with staff members and parents on a regular basis. Attend staff meetings,
grade level meetings, parent meetings, professional development, and fall and spring
parent teacher conferences.
