Dear Ms. Gongora:
The uses of video games in education as a teaching material for students. Using video games as a
tool to teach students how to read. The possibility that video games could make learning more
fun and exciting but at the same time really grabbing ones attention to really learn something.
The uses of video games in education as a teaching material for students with the use of existing
games to teach about any certain subject, develop skills like faster reaction time and hand-eye
coordination for students, and help set goals and the ability to try new ideas and methods to
solving a problem.
I will create a video game that is time based meaning that the player will be timed when
completing a level. Players have to control a blue cube that slides when moving to add some
aspect of difficulty, and will have to avoid spike traps and enemy blocks that are red in order to
get to the objective. The purpose of this game is for students to react quickly and think fast. The
game will be made at my residence and will only include me in everything.
My understanding of plagiarism and/or misrepresentation is to write down somebody elses
words and not give them credit. I understand that Sierra Vista High School holds a high standard
of academic honesty that I will abide by. I will submit my research paper to www.turnitin.com
which checks for plagiarism. I also understand that if I were to copy or plagiarize my research
paper, I will not be given credit and this may result in a disciplinary action possible failure of the
first semester of senior English.
Sincerely,
Andrew Ramirez
