Write the following information on the board: Page 16, #55, Carnival of Venice.
Teacher: Good morning class.
Teacher: Hum. Plays an f
Teacher: My turn, your turn. Teacher does my-turn-your-turn with an F

major scale up to D, all the notes used in Carnival of Venice


5. Teacher: point to board. Wait until students turn there. Listen. Watch the
beginning and end.
6. Teacher counts off and plays, taking the repeat.
7. Teacher: What did you notice? students respond about the pickup or the
repeat or both. If none, repeat modeling How was the beginning and end?
