This communication is to inform you that previously released Up-To-Date: PI-2011-4000-03/00 Series
4000 Injector CE Rings DDEC/ADEC/MDEC has been removed from the MTU Business Portal and is no
longer in effect.
Previously, the copper seal ring P/N 23540260 was the only seal to be used in a DDEC Series 4000
engine with injectors X52407500021, EX52407500021 and RX52407500021. For practical reasons, MTU
has standardized the use of steel CE rings P/N 0000160119, as the fuel injector seal ring to be used in
all Series 4000 engines. Therefore, the use of the copper seal ring is no longer necessary for DDEC
Series 4000 engines.
