‘The Rochester City Schoo! District Arts Department in partnership with Rise Up Rochester, Inc.
announces its sixth annual Stop the Violence Billboard Contest and invites all K-12 students
1 paiticipate. Because so much violence impacts our students the Stop the Violence Billboard
Contests the pertect opportunity fr our students to take a proactive stand egainst violence and
to teach about violence prevention, cme reporting and making healthy decisions.
Guidetines
Students are invited to create artwork on the theme “Love bulls. Violence destroys." First,
‘socond, third and fourth place elementary and secondary winners will have their artwork
sisplayed inthe fal on bilboards near your school
1. Artwork must be created on 8 %8 X 11 inches paper and orientated horizontally. Paint,
‘marker, pen, and pencil are acceptable. Collage, photo, and computer generated
artwork isnot acooprable,
2. On the back of artwork please include the student's name, school, grade and teacher.
'No artwork willbe accepted iit contains ths information on the front ofthe artwork,
‘3 Artwork must be sent to the RCSD Arts Department no later than March 25, 2016.
