By reading the articles students will receive an insight to different training methods and how
they have an effect on certain sports. These articles discuss different training methods on
sprinting, whether it be weight training, aerobic training and/or anaerobic training. This will
help students understand when to apply these types of training methods and for what results.

Identify key training methods that will improve the performance of a rugby league

player. Justify your answer by explaining how they will help this player. (250 Words)
Compare and contrast two methods of training for improved performance as seen
within the articles. Be sure to explain what each training method is used for and

sports that they can be used in. (250 words)


Design a weekly training program for an athlete from a sport of your choice. Discuss

how this training program can be monitored for to assess improvement. (250 words)
Describe how planning for performance differs for different athletes. Explain the
effectiveness of planning and how it helps achieving an improvement. (250 words)
