Classroom Behavior Management

3 Routines students will complete upon entering the
classroom:
1. I will greet my students by name at the door with a
smile.
2. Students will hang backpacks up and place their
reading and
take home folders with homework and
parent/teacher
communication log into the appropriate
bin.
3. Students will meet me in the calendar area for
morning announcements and calendar time during the first
half of the
school year. Upon returning from Christmas
break students will meet me at their desk and start a
morning message assignment,
Drops in the bucket
assignment, or an enrichment assignment.

3 Routines students will complete before they can

leave the room at the end of the day:
1. Students will discuss what they learned that day.
Write in their classroom journals one like and one dislike
about their class
day and lessons.
2. I will go over homework assignment by modeling and
giving
examples of assignment.
3. Students will check their desk area for trash or
recyclables,
pack their bag with reading folder and take
home folder, and line
up to
go to appropriate after
school lines.
