I Want What They Have

When I moved to Jacksonville,

all the good-looking AAers were

announcing this FCYPAA thing, I was

immediately intrigued. In passing Id hear

about these road trips and some game
called mafia. They all seemed to have
matching t-shirts and incredible group
photos on Facebook where everyone

looked fun and happy. By December, I

attended the #Jaxbids got talent, and as

everyone filed into the Saturday night

meeting, there was electricity in the air.

They say your vibe attracts your tribe,

well I was vibrating high! Walking into the

actual FCYPAA room in Tampa was

incredible! EDM booming, smoked out,

beach balls bouncing, a lot of yelling,

running around with flags, and even a

secret language I got the immediate

thought, I want what they have! As for

dancing sober, it was my paralyzing fear

that led to many relapses. However, the

FCYPAA room was big, dark, the DJ was

awesome, and with a gentle reminder

from a friend that nobody cares what I do,

I gave it a shot. By the end of the

Saturday night, hula hoop in tow, I

suddenly realized that God was doing for

me what I couldnt do for myself.

Reminiscing on your youth? Those good old after school days

playing Mario Kart on Nintendo? Have no fear, Backyard Mario
Kart is here! Get ready to relive Mario Kart like you've never
imagined before. Join the Orlando and Pinellas Bid's for
FCYPAA as we bring this favorite pasttime to life in the human
version of Backyard Mario Kart Race and Battle! (Roman
Candles will be replaced with safer alternative! ;))
In between your team's race, enjoy some slippery sliding fun
with our Kiddie Pool Kickball (Take 2 ;))! We had a great
response from our earlier Kiddie Pool Kickball event last August,
so why not live it up again? You bring the swimsuit and we will
keep the kiddie pools filled and the slip and slides oily!
We will also have hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill with
condiments! Suggested donation includes either a hamburger
or hot dog, bag of chips, and a soda or bottle of water!
Energy drinks will be available for sale as well!
When: Saturday, April 30th
Approximate time: 12-1pm for the meeting 1pm - 8pm for the
event

Third Annual Film Festival- Suncoast Host

Remember when you were a kid and you saw Land

Before Time for the first um time. And you know after
they defeat the Sharptooth and then find Petrie still alive
then they find The Great Valley and that place is just
straight littered with tree stars and as a little kid you were
like Yoooo, this is probably the greatest thing I will ever
see ever in my entire tiny little kid life.?
Well that little kid was wrong af because the 35th EVER
SunHost Committee is pumped to present our Third
Annual Suncoast Film Festival which makes the Great
Valley look like a dirt road parking lot with no defined
spaces so people are just parking all willy nilly all over
the place.
This years Film Fest is being held on May 21st at 8 PM
with a speaker meeting followed by the films and it is
entirely reliant on YOU to make it successful. We will be
accepting film submissions until May 19th. They need to
be 15 min or less and really the only requirement is no
nudity. Sorry.
Its $15 to submit your film and the grand prize for the
winning film is a free nights stay at the lovely Sarasota
Grand Hyatt the weekend of July 8-10. FCYPAA is also
going on that weekend. The winner would be
encouraged to attend that conference, however that is
not mandatory.
We are also offering a super secret double lit af come
thru fam its dope bruh prize for Unity videos from all
of our bid cities. It will be something awesome at the
conference. More will be revealed.
