Past Rome: The Renaissance

The Renaissance lasted from 00 00 . It was

a time of rebirth for Rome and its people, and many
advancements in culture and art were made. Art in high detail
such as this painting made by Raphael was made possible by
the advances created during the period.

Modern News: Nude Statue Censorship

On Iranian President Hassan Rouhani was in Italy as part

of a European tour aimed at drumming up investment in Iran
following years of international sanctions. Nude statues were hidden
in Rome in an attempt not to offend the visiting president. He met
with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi in Rome's Capitoline
Museums, where large boxes covered up exhibits of nude statues
from ancient Rome. Italys ANSA news agency said they did it to keep
from offending Iranian culture, and that they opted out of serving
alcohol for the same reason. Some Romans were angered by this as
they felt they were censoring their culture.

Future

I predict in 00 Italy will have another rebirth and become even more culturally
advanced while preserving past art. Also, pictured above is one possible innovation that
would be a futuristic bus stop terminal in Rome.
