Introduction about Italy
Italy, officially the Italian Republic, is a country located in the middle of the
Mediterranean Sea, South Europe. Italy is famous for its cuisine and also its
architecture. Every year, millions of people visited Italy. Italian is the national
language of this country, but people also speak French and German. In 2021, its
population is 59 million people. Its current president is Sergio Mattarella, while the
current prime minister is Giorgia Meloni.

A small group of artists, known as the Florentine Camerata decided to recreate
the storytelling of Greek drama through music. Dafne (1597), that was composed
by Jacopo Peri, was also considered to be the first opera by many people.
