Writing Prompt 1
Last semester, I prepared a portfolio for my UWRT 1101 class. I ended up doing very
well on the portfolio. Over the course of the portfolio. I learned a lot about how to create a
portfolio and about how my writing progressed and continued to get stronger throughout the
semester. It was an interesting new thing that I had never done before last semester.
1 feel like the portfolio that I was asked to prepare last semester was a mix of a process
portfolio and a presentation portfolio. I feel this way because the majority of the portfolio
showed my growth throughout the class, but it also was a showcase of the final product, being
the stronger writer that I had become. | included some of my work from the beginning of the
class to show my growth, but I also included the things that I felt was my best work, even if the

This introduction to Portfolio Keeping thakes a staiément that typically the hardest thing
about a portfolio is choosing what pieces of your work you want to include. [agree with this 0
statement. That is probably the single hardest thing that I dealt with while making my portfolio
last semester. Despite making it a more difficult process, the choice I had in what to include was
my favorite thing about creating my portfolio. It allowed me the opportunity to make the
portfolio my own instead of another boring niece that was the same as all of the others in the
