I would greatly appreciate your consideration for full/part-time position. I am currently attending
Northern Michigan University where I am majoring in Multimedia Journalism with a minor in
Health and Nutrition. Ive heard nothing but great things about your station from peers that are
employed and would love an opportunity to showcase my skills in this field within your
broadcast. Since childhood, news has always been of great importance to me, as well as the
production that makes for a stellar show. I believe bringing the news to the people is essential to
a community and is something I strive to be a part of.
Obtaining college credit or earning a wage would be nice, but is not as necessary as the
experience I would receive as a result from working at your station.
As you will see in my attached resume, Ive had experience working in media with Public TV 13
including producing/directing their daily newscast Public Eye News.
It is through these opportunities that I have developed a rich understanding and appreciation for
detail, teamwork, and knowledge that ultimately brings a show together. I am a dependable selfstarter with a keen eye for fluidity and problem solving. I am approachable and always looking
to take on new challenges and experiences. I am a fast learner and capable of taking direction
and fulfilling any and all tasks or duties.
