He suddenly told, pointing to a bouquet of flowers, that he wanted someone to take it to the other side of the room. While many got ready to go, the moment one lady stood up and picked it the rest of them remained seated. After this he stood from his sofa and told that he wanted the sofa to be taken to the other side of the room. This time around 4 to 5 people lifted the sofa. He then made a profound point. He said, “ | never said one person should carry the bouquet. Nor did I say that 4-5 people should carry the sofa. Yet when one lady took the bouquet the rest of you went back to your seat. On the other hand for the sofa 4-5 people came. And that's the power of | human intelligence. Without being toldit can respond with resources to meet the challenge involved.” He then concluded, “if you want to achieve small success your intelligence will expand to make it happen. If you want big success your intelligence will expand to make you achieve that big success.” | Iwas really stunned. Ithad aterrific impact on me. And that message promptly came to my mind when | saw the total number of achievers this year. When the uplift incentive scheme was announced some of you wanted to achieve that and your intelligence found ways to make it happen. It is really fantastic to see more than 250 people on target and more than 200 people qualifying for 102% Uplift incentive scheme. Also, for the first time, we have achieved record high sales in March itself. Normally March will be low and April takes off in a big way. This year we saw March itself taking offinabig way. This is again a result of the collective thinking of wanting to achieve excellence. Our Retina business also has made a terrific start to the year. We have shown fabulous growth all across the country. Itis all set to create new records. When Padmaraj spoke about the 23 Cr figure for 2016 it looked a distant dream. Now the team is all set to surpass and go well beyond that. Again, another great example of people wanting to do something great and the intelligence finding ways to make it happen. am able to see a possibilty of everyone getting qualified for ATC this year.
