Green and blue cells of the magic square, and also numbers 6, 4, 8, 2 form the
diagonal cross of irrational mental functions as intuition and sensorics are
irrational. Red and yellow cells of the magic square, and also numbers 1, 9, 7, 3
form the cross of rational mental functions as ethics and logics are rational.
Pay attention that irrational mental functions correspond with even numbers,
and rational mental functions correspond with odd numbers in numerology.
According to ratio with numbers in numerology it is possible to correlate
mental functions of C. G. Jung's analytical psychology to characteristics of
mythological gods.
Numbers 1 and 9.
Ethical mental function and gods of Greek mythology Ares, Eris, Aphrodite.
These gods estimate emotional conditions and moods, and also concern to other
Page 115 of 126
gods from the view point of personal sympathies or antipathies. They are
subject to emotional influences and influence emotions of associates, namely
they can create a favorable emotional atmosphere, or they can be aggressive
and malevolent if someone does not correspond to their representations about
mutual decencies.
Ares and Eris clash with the Supreme Olympic gods who offend their vanity
and underestimate public value that is perceived as disrespect which demands
punishment. Therefore Ares is the god of war, and Eris is the goddess of
contention.
Aphrodite keeps good relations with all gods and for the sake of it supposes
compromises in mutual relation, and in essence Aphrodite shows sympathy in
relation to other gods that causes reciprocal sympathies. Therefore Aphrodite is
the goddess of love.
Ares and Eris love itself and consequently are gods of war and contention
which are necessary for the statement of vanity and respect on the part of
associates. Aphrodite loves other gods and consequently is the goddess of love,
but in any case these gods correspond with ethical function in a context of
analytical psychology of C. G. Jung and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
Numbers 7 and 3.
Logic mental function and gods of Greek mythology Hephaestus, Prometheus,
Hermes.
These gods have logic thinking and consequently determine reasonable and
expedient behavior, namely they do not pay attention to emotional conditions
and moods, but they organize constructive mutual relation.
Prometheus ignores the intellectual superiority of gods and gives fire to people,
that he considers reasonable and necessary, and in essence Prometheus gives
knowledge to people if to take into account that fire is a symbol of knowledge.
Hermes is the intermediary between the world of gods and the world of people,
namely he organizes ranged or otherwise to tell the classified mutual relation,
and Hermes does not consider emotions of people but carries out will of gods
which considers reasonable and expedient.
Hephaestus is the smith who personifies technical progress that assumes
presence of rational thinking and insignificance of emotional experiences, and
in particular in myths of ancient Greece there is an information that Hephaestus
has created mechanical dolls or robots which operate expediently and are
deprived any emotions.
Hephaestus and Prometheus consider that people can have own knowledge,
and they can carry out technical progress and development of a science.
Hermes considers that people should realize will of gods, but in any case these
gods correspond with logic function in a context of analytical psychology of C.
G. Jung and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
Numbers 6 and 4.
Sensory mental function and the Supreme Olympic gods Zeus, Poseidon,
Hades, Demeter, and also Hera and Leto.
These gods aspire to prosperity and are realists, namely they take into account
the real facts and consider specific goals which can be achieved during mutual
relation, and also they adhere to conditions according to which interests of this
or that god do not contradict interests of other gods. But first of all these gods
provide own well-being and observe own interests.
Zeus is the main among the Supreme gods, and in essence is the arbitrator who
solves disputes and consequently his opinion is deciding during mutual
relation.
Poseidon is the god of violent sea elements and consequently he denies
another's opinions if there is a disagreement with his own opinion that is if the
another's opinion breaks pacified condition of Poseidon.
Demeter is the goddess of fertility and material abundance and consequently
she considers mutual relation with other gods from the view point of practical
benefit, and also from the view point of the consent of this or that god with her
own interests.
Hades is the god of the empire dead and consequently he does not consider
opinion of other gods and opinion of people, but Hades asserts own opinion
which is incontestable as laws of the empire dead are fair consequence of
favorable or adverse acts.
Hera is wife of Zeus and consequently she has the important position in
hierarchy of Olympic gods that provides unconditional observance of her
interests.
Leto is mother of Apollo and Artemis who are children of Zeus, that is in
essence Leto is illegal spouse of Zeus that also provides prosperity and
observance the interests of this goddess.
Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Demeter provide prosperity and are not inclined to do
something not adequate to their representations about safe existence. Hera and
Leto achieve prosperity due to others, but in any case these gods correspond
with sensory function in a context of analytical psychology of C. G. Jung and
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
Numbers 8 and 2.
Intuitive mental function and gods of Greek mythology Apollo, Dionysus,
Artemis, Hecate.
These gods anticipate and predict behavior of other gods, and in essence they
consider prospects and probable results of mutual relation.
Dionysus is the god of winemaking and idle existence, and consequently he
does not consider practical benefit and expediency of mutual relation, and also
he is free from mutual obligations that provokes similar behavior of gods in
Page 117 of 126
relation to Dionysus and can cause contradictions if the similar behavior is not
peculiar to those or other gods.
Apollo is the god of art and inspiration, namely he is creative nature and
consequently predetermines not ordinary mutual relation which correspond to
his representations about spiritual mutual understanding.
Artemis is sister of Apollo and the goddess of a wild nature, and consequently
Artemis aspires to natural and easy mutual relation which are possible if other
gods are capable to be natural and easy.
Hecate is the goddess of love (sexual) magic and consequently she aspires to
mutual relation during which there is a psychological attachment.
Apollo and Dionysus create artificial or deliberate mutual relation adequate to
their representations about mutual understanding of gods. Artemis and Hecate
aspire to naturalness in mutual relation, but in any case these gods correspond
with intuitive function in a context of analytical psychology of C. G. Jung and
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
Number 5.
This central numerological number in the magic square and consequently has
no ratio with the certain mental functions, but is a link which connects mental
functions in a single whole that corresponds to Athena who is the central
goddess in a pantheon of the Greek mythology.
four global world categories which have names: matter, energy, space, time.
Namely Gaia (matter) was one of four initial potentialities which also Chaos,
Tartarus, Eros are. As initial potentialities the Gaia means presence of structure,
the Chaos means absence of structure, the Tartars means destruction, the Eros
means structuring. These are primary world principles which were incorporated
under the aegis of Gaia and have formed a structured matter which at the same
time is capable to be chaotic, and also is capable to be created or is capable to
be collapsed. That is the listed initial potentialities have formed a primary
material cross which is shown on the figure:
The Gaia has connected four initial potentialities
and has formed Uranus (energy), and with the
help of Uranus has formed 6 male titans:
Oceanus, Coeus, Crius, Hyperion, Iapetus,
Cronus, and 6 female titans: Tethys, Phoebe,
Mnemosyne, Theia, Themis, Rhea which have
made a basis of the material and energy world,
that is shown in the following figure. Namely
male and female titans have formed structure of
the world, and in essence have formed an
astrological circle which symbolizes structure of
the world but provided that the astrological
circle corresponds with zodiacal constellations
(signs of the zodiac), and titans have other
mythological essence but too correspond with
zodiacal constellations.
It is possible to tell that Atlas is the god of astrology as holds the heavenly arch
on shoulders, and in essence holds the astrological circle which is a symbol of
the heavenly arch.
Cronus and Rhea.
Cronus and Rhea are parents of Olympic gods.
Cronus is a tsar of the Golden Age and main among titans, but he was
overthrown by Zeus and was thrown in Tartarus, and since then Cronus
associates with relentless time and destiny which is inevitable even for gods.
Therefore from the view point of modern astrology Cronus is identified with
the gloomy and strict planet Saturn but primary Cronus corresponds with the
zodiac constellation Sagittarius where the planet Jupiter is manager that
corresponds to status of Cronus as tsar of the Golden Age.
Besides Cronus is the father of wise centaur Chiron that confirms the parity
with zodiac constellation Sagittarius as Sagittarius is a centaur and Chiron is
the centaur.
Rhea is the great mother of Olympic gods and corresponds with the zodiac
constellation Virgo which symbolizes the virgin Earth whose children are
intended for the great future.
Rhea was identified with Cybele whose priests gave vows of chastity and
fidelity to the great mother of gods.
Besides Nymphs correspond with the zodiac constellation Virgo and are deities
of a pure and protogenic (virgin) nature.
Perhaps it is possible to consider the variant according to which Cronus
corresponds with the astrological sign Gemini and Crius corresponds with the
astrological sign Sagittarius that corresponds to structure of the astrological
circle and corresponds to the scheme of management of planets in astrological
signs more correctly. But nevertheless Cronus is correlated to the astrological
sign Sagittarius and Crius is correlated to the astrological sign Gemini, as
Cronus was the most important and united titans by means of the common idea
that is peculiar to the astrological sign Sagittarius. Cronus was the younger
brother among titans but began the most important among them and
consequently it is possible that Crius has given own place and functions to
Cronus, and itself has taken the place and functions of Cronus. The modern
astrology does not know planets which exalt in astrological signs Sagittarius
and Gemini, consequently it is possible that exalted planets determine parities
of Cronus and Crius with astrological circle, and in essence determine position
