College Station, TX 77845 sgda11@tamu.edu (832)-693-1076 April 30, 2016 Director of Personnel Procter & Gamble 6190 E. Cornerstone Ct., Suite 101 San Diego, CA 92121 Dear Director of Personnel: Procter and Gamble is one of the worlds top consumer good enterprises. Working for such a stable and innovative company would be an invaluable experience, therefore I would like to be considered for the Product Supply Engineering internship position. After speaking with a recruiter at my schools career fair and hearing about all the development opportunities available at P&G, I decided to apply for the position through my schools recruiting website. I believe relevant work experience is essential in becoming a well-rounded engineer. I have almost one year of experience in the chemical engineering field, more specifically in manufacturing and R&D. Both of my work experiences have been with Nalco Champion, a specialty chemicals company. During my time in the Freeport manufacturing plant as a process engineering co-op, I was responsible for completing several process improvement projects. Utilizing excellent time management and analytical skills, I was able to complete the majority of my projects, ultimately saving the plant hundreds of thousands of dollars. Furthermore, as a research and development intern in the downstream refining department, I was responsible for running a variety of tests on crude oil. After determining the degree of fouling that could be caused in the desalting equipment, I created a database of the results for chemists to reference in the future, saving valuable resources. Since I have both research and production backgrounds, I believe I could contribute to P&Gs internship program by merging both sides of innovation. Optimizing the way products are made is just as important as the research behind inventing them. I would like to express my interest in obtaining an interview with a company recruiter and should you need to reach me, my contact information is listed above. I eagerly await hearing back from you soon. Best regards, Stephanie Gonzalez De Abreu Encl.: CV
