Landings Circuit

Station 1- Squat Jump onto the Vault


Students squat jump onto the vault, landing on hands and then on
feet.
KTPs

Arm circle backwards


Hands shoulder width apart
Knees then to feet

Station 2- Star Jump


Students star jump backwards off a block into a backward roll on a
mat.
KTPs

Land two feet


Bend knees to absorb force
Look over the shoulder you are landing on

Station 3- Tuck Jump


Students will tuck jump off a block and land, then perform a
sideways roll.
KTPs

Land two feet


Absorb force through bending knees
Turn right, left arm straight out, right arm bent at 90 degrees

Station 4- Jump
Full Turn
Students will jump up and complete a full turn from the tumble track
into the pit.

Arms close to body


Land two feet
Knees bent shoulder width apart to absorb force

Station 5- Leap Over Object


Students are to run and leap over an object and land in an
arabesque position.
KTPs

One foot landing


Other leg raised backwards horizontally as supporting balance
Chest kept high
Eyes up

Station 6- Star Jump


Students are to run, two foot take off on a mini tramp, jump into a
stag position and land in motorbike position.

Motor bike landing
Bent knees, shoulder width apart

Contact with balls of feet then

heels

Station Layout and Set Up


According to the layout and available space, the six stations should
be set up similar to the below diagram. The teacher should
supervise from the outside of the stations enabling them to see all
stations at the same time and not limiting their vision by having
their back to athletes. Teacher/coach should aim to walk around the
perimeter and offer feedback and advice and reinforce key teaching
points.
