The Effect of Alternative Energy

People should find a sustainable alternative to oil because it affects the world whether its
pollution or politics in a negative way. It affects people and countries by giving off harmful
emissions to the countrys population as well as giving the citizens terrible health problems and
terrible accidents. Oil and fossil fuels can give harmful political tensions like countries in the
Middle East. Also, other events like Russia and Ukraine with their crude oil plunging prices due
to the separation of Ukraine from Russia.
One of the alternative energies is Solarpower, solar power is a good alternative energy
because it feed off the sunlight from the sun, which then turns into electricity. It will also reduce
harmful carbon pollution by 24,000 tons [21,773 metric tons] a year, which is the equivalent of
removing 4,000 cars from our roads(Doeden 61). This will make the Earths atmosphere much
more livable. The photovoltaic cell, or solar cell, is the most common technology people use to
harness solar power(Doeden 63). This is what gives the solar panels its energy capabilities and
to how it can get energy from the sunlight.

Second of the alternative energies is Hydropower, which is gets energy from moving
water. Hydropower plants will give many people a clean source of energy for everyday uses like

for example, Las Vegas, Nevada, which gets tons of energy from the Hoover Dam, which is
getting energy from the water flowing through the hydro plants. This is reducing greenhouse
emissions by reducing dependence on the electrical grid or other fossil fuels(Fadrhonc 25).
When people get clean air and energy, alternative energy has great potential in the healthcare
industry(Fadrhonc 29).
Third of the alternative energies is Wind Power, which uses the earths wind for energy.
Wind Power is mostly seen in places like Texas, Iowa, Colorado and Etc. Wind power is a
versatile energy storage system(Stremlau 201), which is predominantly effective in places like
the midwest, where ample amounts of wind flowing through the prairie. Wind power as well as
any other alternative energy can give many people power, which can be used to reduce the
purchase of conventional fossil fuel power(Fadrhonc 26).
People should find a sustainable alternative to oil because it affects the world whether its
pollution or politics in a negative way, as well as give citizen in the country health problems like
asthma or other respiratory problems, This shows that people need more cleaner sources of
energy to keep the population from being harmfully affected by the harmful emissions, whether
its factory or power plant. Using alternative energy will guarantee people of clean and safe air to
breathe, which will also avoid people from developing health problems.
