Scoring Example:
Player A defeats Player B having destroyed 4 elements including Player Bs general.
Player B destroyed 1 element and controlled Player As Camp. Result: 4G-1C.
Victory Conditions were met.
The Winner (Player A) receives 20 points for achieving victory and 4points for enemy elements
destroyed plus 2 points for killing the enemy general. This subtotals 26 points. Player As losses
must still be subtracted.
Player B destroyed 1 element for 1 point plus 2 points for taking and controlling Player As
camp. Player Bs total score is 3 points.
Player A earns 26 points minus 3 points for a total score of 23 points.
Final Score for the battle is Player A 23 points Player B 3 points.

Note:
This point system was designed to work for many different formats and styles of DBA events. It
should provide consistent and clear results, while still functioning in a simple manner. Game
scores can still be reported to the Umpire according to the standard 4-2, 3G-1, format. The
Umpire can then calculate the points scores and countback results, etc.

Countback:
Countback is determined at the end of the event, the umpire adds up the point totals for each of a
players opponents. So, in a 4 round event player A plays B, C, D, and E. B scores 94 points. C
scores 12 points. D scores 28 points. E scores 51 points.
94 + 12 + 28 + 51 = 185. So, player A's countback score would be 185.
Changes from previous Scoring System version used at Cold Wars 2003 and Historicon 2003:
Version 2 - Point base for winning a game increased from 24 to 25 points, this has since been
changed in version 3. (Just this one point allows for more consistent results over a 4 round event,
and it also provides a score of 100 points for a perfect 4 win records with no casualties over the 4
rounds.
Version 2 - Tie Break rules standardized. Head to Head and/or Countback will not always
function as a clear tiebreak, depending on the format and size of an event.
Version 3 System changed to allow positive results for the winner, including killing general
bonus and camp bonus.
Version 4 (2/22/2007) - Wording changed for clarity and to cover scythed chariots.
