Task 2: Individual Case Studies Goal: The goal of this exercise is to generate a wide variety of topics that can be shared with your group under the umbrella topic that you have chosen. This will involve everyone from the group and give you more options for a sub-topic that you can explore in greater detail. Objectives: Students will research for themselves a sustainability sub-topic of their choosing and write a concise summary of their findings. Description: As a group, you have decided on a broad sustainability topic. Your task is now to individually research that topic. Each student will come prepared to class with one case study, which situates that topic in a specific time and place. In 2 pages (1-in margins, 1.5 spacing, Times New Roman font) provide 1) a brief description of the historical and spatial contexts of your topic, 2) the specific sustainability problem, 3) what institutions might be at work in defining this problem, and 4) what you can explore further regarding this topic. Also attach a bibliography of at least 3 sources. **This is part of your individual grade for the final project and will be graded on completion of all the parts.
