RENOVATING THE BOARD ROOM

The corporate office is planning to renovate and refurnish the existing board room. The project is
entrusted to the administrative manager Mr. George. His mandate is to finish the task before 29 th April,
2016 the scheduled day of the next board meeting.
George and his assistant Rashid sat down to plan the work. They identified the major tasks to be
completed with respect to the board room renovation project. The resource requirements were also
estimated.
The table 1 gives the output of their work. It lists the tasks under three heads; planning, painting,
installing fixtures. It gives names of the tasks, the time and resource estimates and the information on
sequencing the tasks.
They have also made a resource table (Table 2) listing the details of the available resources. It gives data
on max availability and rates. The company normally works only 5 days a week.
