2010 Canadian Jr.

National Debate Championships

Friday, May 14th, 2010
4:00pm – 9:30pm

The Calgary Science School is pleased to announce that they will be

hosting the 2010 Canadian Junior National Debate Championships on
Friday, May 14th from 4:00pm – 9:30pm. There will be 72 Jr. High
students from across the country participating in this year’s
Championships and we are looking for volunteers to help with Hosting
and Timekeeping.

We will need Timekeepers and Chairpersons to help run the debates

and we are looking for volunteers (40 responsible students). Students
will be provided with supper (Pizza) and the debate will be finished at
approximately 9:30pm.

There is a copy of the schedule below and please fill out and return the
bottom portion of this form ASAP!

Schedule of Events

4:00 – 5:00 Timekeepers/Chairperson briefing

5:00 – 5:30 Room preparation and supper
5:30 – 6:00 Welcoming guests and judges to your room
6:00 – 7:30 Round # 1
8:00 – 9:30 Round # 2
9:30pm Room clean-up - Depart
