The Media Project

The following elements of the media project will be compiled onto a poster and presented to
your peers during class.
1. Mindmap of Your Chosen Media
2. Background Essay:

1 paragraph explaining the origin of your chosen media. You should cite at least

two sources.
1 paragraph explaining why you chose this particular media. Why is it important
to you? Did you know immediately what you wanted to use? Or did it take you a little
while to figure it out?
3. The Advertisement:
Create an advertisement for you media. You might choose to make a poster, a flyer, or a film a
commercial or trailer. Your advertisement should have some visual element and you should use
advertising strategies that we learned about in class to make people want to use or buy your
product.
