CONCLUSION
Earthquakes , tsunamis and such natural catastrophic
calamities that occur inside the earth are absolutely
random occurrences that are generally without any
warning or alert system. Therefore in order to prevent
excessive damage to life and property it is a necessity of
modern construction procedures to take into account the
effect of earthquake and duly regard the design
considerations in that respect. Therefore, it is of
paramount importance that the earthquake resistant
design is adopted for structures built in areas and regions
of high seismicity and also precautions taken for buildings
