How to Build Riley: Your Friendly Lego Companion!

As a young, playful kid, you have probably want someone to have fun and play with maybe that someone is a pet. But, your
parents wont let you have a pet?! Well now you can create your very own pet, Riley the Lego Dog, in just 5 10 minutes! As shown
in Figure 1, you can choose any color of Legos you would like so that Riley the Lego Dog can be your own customized creation!

Gathering the Pieces

Collect the following pieces as
shown in Table 1 and Figure 2:

Creating the Body

1. Align four b Legos next to each other to form a 4x8 rectangle
2. Attach one h Lego and two b Legos on the top center of the
body so that they will overhang one spot on each side
3. Connect one g Lego on the top of the body overhanging one
spot on the left as shown in Figure 3
4. Connect one f Lego on each side of the body
5. Snap one j Lego on the top right side as shown in Figure 3
6. Flip the body over and connect two e Legos in the center
7. Keep the body flipped over and connect one d Lego to each
corner

Making the Head

1. Use one b Lego as the base
2. Attach one e Lego to the base so it overhangs one spot to the left
3. Place one a Lego next to the e Lego
4. Attach one i Lego to the head as shown in Figure 4
5. Connect one e Lego to the top right side of the head
6. Place one c Lego on each side of the i Lego as shown in Figure 4
7. Connect the head to the body as shown in Figure 1

Making the Legs

1. Place one c Lego next to one a Lego
2. Attach one a Lego on top to create the leg as shown in Figure 5
3. Repeat three more times to make a total of four legs
4. Attach the legs to the body as shown in Figure 1 to complete
your dog
