Recomendation to prevent the future occurence

Firstly, the gyrocompass failed beacuse it lost its standby power

supply. all device onboard ship must have backup power plan to in case of
emergency. For example power loss. The failure of compass will affect
majorly on navitagation. In this case, two vessel has collided to each other
during refueling. To overcome this problem, crews should perform a proper
maintenance in ensuring all device onboard ship is connected to backup
power supply. They should test it with backup power during maintenance.
Secondly, the incorrectly wired system. This is an error during
manufacturing of the ship. In this case the audible alarm had failed its
task. To overcome this, make sure all system is thoroughly checked before
launced for voyage.

Lastly, the misintrepetation of light during watch. This is human

error. Human error may cause by fatique or lack of training. So to prevent
this crew must have a good res and proper training as per SOLAS
regulation.

Conclusion
Luckily after the accident these two ship is still seaworthy after
suffer a total cost of repairing is 1.635 million. No life loss and oil spill. But
from this incident we know how important the compass in navigating a
vessel. No matter how modern our world with technology old method of
navigating by using compass is still a key in good navigation. Machine will
