2. What is the film about?(80 words)

The film shows us a real story about the life of four orphaned children after the war in Sudan. They travel
about 1600 km on foot in search of a safe place. Mamere and Theo are brothers and they were the children of
the chief of their village by this reason Theo (the older brother) is responsible for the survival of the group.
During the trip some children die to escape the soldiers, dehydration and malnutrition. Nevertheless on his
journey they face other dangers where Theo is taken prisoner by soldiers and Mamere is forced to assume all
responsibility and bring them insurance to Kenya.
Mamere, Abital, Jeremiah, Paul arrive to the refugee camp in Kenya but Daniel cant resist the journey and
died.
In this refugee they have a new family with all the refugees, they learn American customs, they are educated
in order to leave the camp and resettle in the United States. They have the possibility to resettle in Kansas
City and when they arrived to the city they found a different world, another civilization, costumes and they
have to learn to get used to this new culture, start working and studying. They find good people to help them
excel and achieve your goals gradually.
The end of the film shows us the great value that they give to the family when Mamere and Paul forgive
themselves, when they manage to be together again with Abital at Christmas or when Mamere exchanged
with his brother Theo.
3. Explain the name of the film
According to some scenes of the film for instances when the orphaned children found a different world that
they didnt know in their village or when they receive an education in the refugees camp in Kenya different
when they went to live in Kansas city where they have to survive there too; but the most important scene is
when Mamere explain in the class about of the good lies when he said: the good lie refers when someone
lies to do good to someone and this happened when Theo saved the life of his brother with a good lie. All this
scenes show me that the name of the film could be in this last scene: The Good Lie
