Dear Ms. Gongora:

For my junior paper, I plan to research the controversial issue of raising the minimum wage. A
large percent of the working class that make minimum wage are college graduates and adults
with children I found out it can be a challenging task. When earning that wage a person needs to
be on a tight budget and often has to go without everyday needs due to insufficient funds.

The thesis of m research paper will be that if the minimum wage is raised societys living
conditions would improve people would not have to turn down living needs because when living
on a tight budget there is no room for large expenses like medicine to small expenses like
transportation to work. Also, parents with children can better sustain a family and the expenses
that come with it .A counter argument could be that raising the minimum wage would make
prices on living expenses get raised and the will just spend the money irresponsibly.
