Food Bank Needs Help ASAP

I am reaching out to you with a plea for volunteer

assistance in our volunteer repack room. We have received
over 35,000 pounds of fresh meat and we must get it
worked up in the next few days or else it will expire. This is
a tremendous donation of protein that is so very important
to people, young and old, for good solid nutrition. With
the end of the school year and regular activities for folks,
our volunteer headcount has decreased tremendously.
Unlike school coming to an end for the summer, food
insecurity goes on and even increases over the summer.
I ask that you consider giving a couple of hours to help
us in this time of great need, even an hour would be of
tremendous help. Please pass this urgent plea on to your
co-workers, neighbors, friends, church, clubs, organizations
and family. We will allow all school-aged children to help
during this urgent need. Please feel free to call me or
email to schedule a service shift. Gratefully, Melanie Lake,

Letters to MUMC

Dear MOUMC Staff & Congregation,

Thank you! Your continued support has helped True/False Film Festive be
successful, especially in this, our 13th year. We could not do it without you
and deeply appreciate all you do to welcome us into your space.
Many, many thanks--Camellia & the T/F staff & volunteers
Dear Prayer Shawl Ministry Members,
The prayer shawl that you so kindly made for me has been a solace. When
my daughter told me that it had been delivered, I was so moved. I have put
it around my shoulders many times in the past week, and have been comfprted knowing that your prayers and blessings are with me during my grief.
Your efforts, your thoughts and your prayers are valued beyond measure.
With heartfelt gratitude, Eva

Are You a Health Care Professional?

Health care professionals are needed in case of medical emergencies during

services and church sponsored events at MUMC. During each worship service,
we want to have one health care professional identified in order for the ushers
to know who can help during a medical emergency. If you are willing to serve
in this capacity, please send us your name, the worship service you typically
attend, email address and phone number to contact.us@moumc.org. Thank
you for consideration of serving our church members. Mary S. Beck
