See Prime Ministerial Decree no. 159 of 5 December 2013,as well as the Decree of 7 November 2014.
The Current ISEE may be requested when, despite already having a valid ISEE, there is a decrease in the income
capacity of the household exceeding 25%. This change must be determined by certain exceptional circumstances due
to changes in the employment situation (e.g.: suspension, termination or reduction of open ended contracts, cessation
of activity for self-employed workers, lack of renewal of fixed-term contracts, etc.worker with respect to which there
has been a suspension, termination, reduction in activity; termination of activities for the self-employed; non-renewal of

WARNING: Under penalty of inadmissibility of the application, the so-called
Dichiarazione Sostitutiva Unica (hereinafter also DSU) of the student must be signed
by:
28 July 2015, for students enrolling in years subsequent to the first of all programmes, including
students enrolling for years subsequent to the first of PhD and specialisation programmes;
31 August 2015, for students enrolling in the first years of all programmes, including students
enrolling for the first year of Master of Science programmes as from the second semester and
including students enrolling for the first year of PhD and specialisation programmes.
The University will acquire the ISEE data, as well as the date of signing of the DSU
directly from INPS database.
Students are nevertheless required, under penalty of inadmissibility of the application,
to self-certify via the online services (under "TASSE UNIVERSITARIE" Inserimento
autocertificazione ISEE) the data required therein concerning the ISEE.
In the case of conflict between the data coming from the INPS database and the data
self-certified by the student, the data coming from the INPS database shall prevail.

application,
the
28 July 2015, for students enrolling in years subsequent to the first of all
programmes, including students enrolling for years subsequent to the first in PhD and
specialisation programmes;
31 August 2015, for students enrolling in the first year of all programmes, including
students enrolling in the first year of a Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to a Master of
Science) starting from the second semester and including students enrolling in
the first year of PhD and specialisation programmes.
For foreign students coming from the Particularly poor countries, assessment of the financial
situation may be certified by the Italian Representation in the country of origin, which must certify
that the student does not belong to a notoriously high-income, high-social status
family.
For students enrolled at a University in the country of origin, linked by agreements or affiliations
with the Politecnico di Milano, this certification may also be issued by the aforementioned
University.
For students who enrol in the first year of Bachelor of Science/single-cycle Master of Science and
Master of Science programmes, the above-mentioned certificate may also be issued by Italian
Bodies enabled to provide guarantees of financial coverage4. In this case, the Body issuing said
certification undertakes to reimburse the scholarship and all other amounts received by the
student should such benefits be revoked.
Stateless or political refugee students must attach to their application the official statement
certifying his/her stateless situation or status as political refugee as issued by the Italian
Ministry of the Interior or Office of the United Nations High Commissioner Department for Italy.
With regard to students enrolled in Bachelor of Science, single-cycle Master of Science and
Master of Science programmes, the term "merit requirement" is assessed also in consideration
of the number of educational credits (hereinafter also referred to as ECTS") that the student is
required to attain in order to be assigned/maintain the benefits requested.
WARNING: The number of credits required is calculated with reference to the year of FIRST
EVER ENROLMENT, i.e. with reference to the first year in which the student enrolled with any
University, whether in Italy or abroad, with regard to the level of studies for which the benefit
is requested.
The principle of first ever enrolment applies, among others, in all cases of enrolment at the
Politecnico as a result of renunciation of studies or in cases of enrolment at the Politecnico as a
result of change of School or Programme within the Politecnico di Milano or from another
University (for example, a student who enrols in the first year following change of University will
be considered as a student enrolled in a subsequent year). In this case, the number of ECTS
recognised by the corresponding Study Programme Board will be considered those up to the
date of payment of the second instalment of the scholarship.
Students who enrol in the first year of the Bachelor of Science/single-cycle Master of Science
programmes must enrol without total or partial OFAs.
WARNING: The presence or absence of OFAs will be assessed solely at the time of the student's
enrolment. Therefore, it is absolutely irrelevant, for the purposes of assigning financial aid
benefits, to pass OFAs at a date subsequent to enrolment.
WARNING: Enrolment in Bachelor of Science/single-cycle Master of Science programmes with
only the OFA in English does not constitute grounds for exclusion.
ADMISSION TEST /ADMISSION EXAM SCORE
Without prejudice to all the merit requirements prescribed in this Article, students enrolling in the
first year of Bachelor of Science programmes in design and in urban planning can only
take part in this call if they have passed, respectively, the admission test or admission exam with a
score of at least 60.00/100
INDIVIDUAL COURSES
For the purpose of assessing merit requirements, only educational credits attained by students
enrolling in individual courses in order to acquire the curricular supplements necessary
for admission to Master of Science programmes as from the second semester and duly
validated in the Master of Science career are taken into consideration.
EDUCATIONAL CREDITS REQUIRED
For all students enrolled in the first year of Bachelor of Science, single-cycle Master of Science and
Master of Science programmes, benefits are awarded prevalently taking account of the
requirements regarding the financial situation (for details on the criteria for deciding rankings
please see art. 5. special part Scholarships).
Confirmation of benefits, and in particular payment of the second instalment of the scholarship,
is subject to obtaining, by no later than 10 August 2016:
10
Students enrolling in Master of Science programmes starting from the second semester must
obtain 29 ECTS by 10 August 2016 in order to receive the second instalment of the
scholarship for the first year and, possibly, a scholarship also for the second year (2016/2017 AY).
Students enrolling for the first year of a Master of Science programme starting from the
second semester and for which the Degree Programme Study Plan for the same semester
envisages a maximum number of ECTS LOWER than the number of credits required by
this call in order to obtain assignment of benefits for the second year, need only obtain a
number of credits corresponding to the (lower) quantity envisaged by the Degree Programme
Study Plan by 10 August 2016.
REVOCATION OF BENEFITS
Students who obtain the above number of credits after 10 August 2016, but before 30
November 2016, while NOT earning the right to assignment of the second instalment of the
scholarship, may keep the first instalment of the scholarship, while the obligation remains to pay
any accommodation at the beneficial rate that they may have made use of from 16 February 2016
and the sum equivalent to the value of the catering service as from 1 May 2016.
In this case students will have the right to total exemption from payment of the enrolment fees
and an exemption equivalent to half the tuition fees due.
The benefit will be REVOKED should the student fail to attain the credits required for
assignment of the second instalment of the scholarship by 30 November 2016.
Should the scholarship be revoked, not only will the second instalment of the scholarship not be
paid, but the student must also return IN FULL a sum equivalent to the value of any services
actually used during the 2015/2016 academic year (e.g. catering and accommodation services).
The provisions concerning the revocation of benefits and minimum merit limits to which payment
of the second instalment is subjected do not apply to handicapped students with disabilities of at
least 66%.
STUDENTS ENROLLING IN YEARS SUBSEQUENT TO THE FIRST
Students enrolling in years subsequent to the first in Bachelor of Science, single-cycle Master of
Science or Master of Science programmes must attain the number of educational credits specified

the respective calls, subject to the provisions of art. 3, letter. d) - Special Section - Scholarships.
DISABLED STUDENTS
Disabled students with disability levels of at least 66% may be assigned individual merit
requirements according to the type of disability. These may differ up to 40% from those specified
above. Merit requirements will be established by a specific commission which may also consult
with the professor appointed for the integration of disabled students.
Art. 7 BONUS
Students who, in the academic year 2015/2016, enrol in years subsequent to the first in
Bachelor of Science and single-cycle Master of Science programmes, may use, in addition
to the ECTS actually obtained, bonus credits. More specifically:
5 credits, if used for the first time to obtain benefits for the second academic year or to
maintain the first instalment of the scholarship;
12
12 credits, if used for the first time to obtain benefits for the third academic year;
15 credits, if used for the first time to obtain benefits for subsequent academic years.
The bonus may be used once only and cannot be cumulated.
HOW TO USE THE BONUS
bonus credits are added to the credits effectively attained by the student, exclusively for
the purpose of attaining the minimum merit requirement established by the call;
should students use only a part of the bonus, they may only use the residual unused
portion in subsequent academic years;
students enrolled in Master of Science programmes may only use the accrued and
unused portion of the bonus during the Bachelor of Science programme;
students enrolled in years subsequent to the third of single-cycle Master of
Science programmes may only use the unused portion of the bonus by the third year of
the programme;
students enrolled in Master of Science programmes cannot use the bonus for
maintenance of the first instalment of the scholarship;
students from other Italian universities enrolling in Master of Science programmes at the
Politecnico must show that they have never used the bonus during the three-year Bachelor
of Science programme, or that they have only used a portion of the bonus accrued.
Students who enrol in Master of Science programmes starting from the second semester,
whose Degree Programme Study Plan envisages a maximum number of ECTS of less than
30, can only use a maximum of 8 bonus points (of the total bonus points available to the
student) to obtain the benefits for the next academic year.
13
WARNING: Foreign students enrolling at the Politecnico for the first time must send a COPY OF
THE DECLARATION OF VALUE, certifying the validity and value of the qualifications attained
abroad to the Financial Aid and International Mobility Service. The student must send the
documentation specified in this point to the Financial Aid and International Mobility Service in one of
the following ways:
by fax to +39 02.2399.4468;
by e-mail to dirittoallostudio@polimi.it;
or handed in personally to the Financial Aid and International Mobility Service counters, located
in Via Golgi 42 and open to the public from Monday to Friday from 9:30 to 12:30 a.m.
Students must notify the Financial Aid and International Mobility Service of any change
involving the assignment of benefits occurring subsequent to submission of the
application (by way of example but not limited to, these may include: obtaining an alternative
scholarship or other financial aid, transfer to another university, finding employment, impossibility
of continuing studies, withdrawal of enrolment, change to students civil or financial status, etc.).
8.1 SUBMISSION OF THE APPLICATION IN THE EVENT OF TRANSFER TO ANOTHER
UNIVERSITY
Should the student decide to move to a different university, after the start of the
academic year, the application will be automatically sent to the competent Financial Aid
service of the university to which the student has requested to transfer. From the time
notice is given of the transfer, the student will forfeit his/her rights to use any benefits
that may have been provided by the Politecnico di Milano. with the obligation to return
all amounts received thus far.
Students transferring to the Politecnico di Milano from another university, after the
start of the academic year, must request the Financial Aid service of the University of
origin to transmit the application, provided that it has been submitted within the
deadlines established for the call of the University of origin. The transfer must have
been duly completed prior to publication of the final ranking for the benefit applied for.
Admission to the ranking will be subject to fulfilment of the requirements stated in
this call and availability of funds.
To this end, qualifications issued prior to implementation of Ministerial Decree 509/1999 are included

Students who have applied or intend to apply for other forms of financial aid (or for the
allocation of free places in colleges, hostels, etc.) for the 2015/2016 academic year are
required to give prompt written notice to the Financial Aid and International
Mobility Service.
Without prejudice to the requirement referred to in the previous paragraph, in all cases
in which students are the beneficiaries of other forms of financial aid, they may choose
whether to retain the financial aid benefits and renounce the other benefits or vice
versa. A document indicating the choice must be sent to the Financial Aid and
International Mobility Service within 15 calendar days of the date of publication of the
provisional ranking. If within this deadlines students are not (yet) aware of being
beneficiaries of other forms of financial aid (e.g. have not yet applied for another
benefit, the ranking has not yet been published, etc.), they will have to make a choice
and notify it in writing to the Financial Aid and International Mobility Service within 10
days of the date on which they become aware of having won another scholarship or

accrued.
N.B. Should the Degree Programme Study Plan envisage for the same semester a maximum
number of Credits LOWER than the number of credits required by this call for

Art. 6 REVOCATION OF THE BENEFIT
Students enrolled in the first year of all programmes and beneficiaries, for the 2015/2016 AY of a
scholarship and accommodation, should the scholarship be revoked due to failure to
achieve the merit requirements, are required to return a sum equivalent to the value
of the accommodation place occupied (see General Part, art. 7.1.)
The amount to be returned by way of accommodation costs is equal to the lump sum withheld
from the scholarship. This amount will proportionally reduced should the student use the
accommodation for fewer months for reasons such as those specified in Article 10 below.
Art. 7 PROCEDURES FOR PREPARING THE RANKING LISTS
The procedures for preparing the ranking lists for the assignment of subsidised accommodation

first year of Master of Science programmes starting from from the second semester, including
students enrolled in individual courses to acquire curricular supplements, are placed at the bottom
of the eligibility rankings "with reservation".

shall have the right to assignment of accommodation only if accommodation reserved for
financial aid is effectively available.
Students enrolling in individual courses to acquire curricular supplements, whilst awaiting the
possibility of enrolling in the first year of Master of Science programmes, may access the
residences only after all those listed in the eligibility rankings have been catered for. In this case,
students must pay for the accommodation place at the special rate of 350.00 per month.
Should a student earn the right to a scholarship during the year, the amount deducted for
accommodation will be 5/11 of the annual deduction.
Students included in the ranking list "with reservation subject to assessment of merit" awaiting
recognition of ECTS by the Programme Board, may access the residences after official recognition
of the ECTS if their ranking position allows assignment of the benefit. In case of advance
admission, students must pay the special rate of 350.00 per month. In case of assignment of the
scholarship, the accommodation deduction will take into account the effective date of acquisition
of the right.
