These are the rules that are put together into giving
harassment free conference experience regardless of their
gender, age, race and religion.

REMEMBER THE HUMAN- Dont say anything hurtful to someone you


wouldnt say to them face to face. People tend to gossip and this ends
up hurting peoples feelings.
ADHERE TO THE SAME STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOUR ONLINE
THAT YOU FOLLOW- Dont ever plagiarizes because thats stealing
someones work and that is regarded as breaking the law and its bad
netiquette. If you would have to borrow something from someone you
would have to give referencing on your work.
KNOW WHERE YOU ARE IN CYBERSPACE- Most people use capital
letters when typing. Avoid doing this as it might give out an impression
that you shouting at one and people dont like being shouted at neither
in real life or the net.
RESPECT OTHER PEOPLES TIME AND BANDWITH- Be careful of the
language you use .Inappropriate conduct may give an impression to
one that you disrespecting them.
MAKE YOURSELF LOOK GOOD- Always checks your grammar when
having to post something online.
SHARE EXPERT KNOWLEDGE- Always passes knowledge to internet
newbies. They Might not know but with the knowledge passed by them
they might learn a lot from you.
HELP KEEP FLAME WARS UNDER CONTROL- Dont respond to
flame basic ,dont post spelling or grammar flames ,and apologize if
you have done so or perpetuated aflame war(Digital Citizenship Module

RESPECT OTHER PEOPLES PRIVACY- Dont ever give out anyones
private information whether you on the net or not.
DONT ABUSE YOUR POWER- Dont misuse your power as a digital
citizen
BE FORGIVING TO OTHER PEOPLES MISTAKE-We were all once
beginners and should accept that everyone has to start

Penalties for failing to meet the rule:

The first step is if the user is not following the rules there will have to be
an email sent to the user concerning them breaking the law.
The second step would be for them to have limited internet access.
The third step is that if the user continues to ignore the rules there should
be a disciplinary hearing for them
The final step is that if the previous step was not corrected the users
actions then there will be legal action taken against them.
