Spring semester with a successful Rush week, gaining three new members. Through a revamped new member education system, the chapter led two of the three to complete the pledging process. The chapter hopes to initiate these new members after grade checks. The brothers of the GammaUpsilon chapter got third on campus for their GPAs, achieving a 2.8 GPA for the semester. This is higher, both in rank and in grade, than any year in the past five. The brothers hosted several social mixers with sororities across campus, including an ice cream mixer with the KappaDelta, the chapters upcoming homecoming partner. This semester was a successful semester, with the promise of many more to come.
In the past, the
chapter hosted cookouts for important members of the community, such as the police department. This year, however, the chapter hosted a Dog Days event. The chapter organized an openhouse for foster dogs, resulting in several adoptions. The chapter hopes to boost attendance in future projects.
The GammaUpsilon chapter is an organization full of bright, responsible young men,
looking to grow as individuals as well as a family. For those wishing to get in contact with the chapter, feel free to email me at cjaschen@murraystate.edu.
