HARDWARE TOOLS
GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM (GPS):
Through this Tool we can find so many things on
the field
1. Lat & Long values
2. AMSL(Above mean sea level)
3. Speed
4. And guide existing sites location

Mobile Phone:
Mobile Phone is used to find the network
Performance, by Connecting on the Tems
software.
Dongle:
Through Dongle only
Mobile Phone & GPS is
Connected, on laptop, key.

Laptop:
Without Laptop DT Engg cannot work , because
DT Engg have to work on the field,
and in Laptop Tems Software is install through
that software we have to survey on the site,
where mobile phone & GPS is connected on
the laptop.

Start Program Tems investigation GSM
or
direct double click on desktop this icon

After open you will see

this type of window

This will store window settings in your working session.

Connecting External Equipments:

1.Connect the Tems Mobile Station to a COM
port.

 The detected devices are automatically

enabled, but not connected, this state is
indicated by a red-light symbol to the left of
each device.

 Adding one Device at a time

Select add equipment

Select the correct COM Port.

Select the type of external device.

After connecting
External Equipment go to
TEMS Presentation window
STEP 1
Click on the
presentation

After clicking presentation window

select following windows like

GSM1. current channels

2. Radio parameters
3. serving+neighbours
4. Interference C/I
C/A
Positioning MAP
GPS
After Drag and drop this windows look like

Recording log file
This red icon is record
logfiles.

Recoding logfiles

Pause the recording

Recoding functions
Swap to next logfile

Insert file mark while recording

 Go through all the parameters reading

like Current channels, Radio Parameters,
serving+neighbours, interference c/i, c/a,
Map, and GPS.
After storing logfile then very next step is to
EXPORT file.
Below the steps of log file.
After logfile export then i will disuss each and every
parameters of tems software.

Steps of export file

Go to logfile
and select
export logfile

After clicking
export file one window will
open

STEP 2

1.Add order(shift+A)
2.After clicking Add order(shift+A), then one more window will open
(ADD EXPORT ORDER) in that one select FORMAT mapinfo Tab.file
3.After clicking Setup then one more window will open (MAPINFO
TAB FILE SETUP)

Click ok
