10.1 Labeling Intervals Between Voice Parts ‘When you write your next composition assignment, you will be required to label the intervals between the voices. Here is an example. Notice that itis only necessary to identify the number of the interval, not the quality (Major, minor, etc.). Notice also that each time either voice maves, a new interval must be identified, and that the interval is always read from the lowest note to the highest note, even if the lower note is in the top staff.
