Experiment 1 (Current Flow)

Amninder Grewal
April 24 2016

Aim:
My aim for this experiment is investigate the flow of the current.
Materials:
1. 1 sk-50 bread boarding sockets
2. 1 battery
3. One 100ohm resistor
4. One 1000 ohm resistor

5. 1 led (light Emitting Diode)

6. 3 wires
7. 200 ohm resistor
8. 1 million ohms

Procedure:
1. Assemble the circuit
2. Observe the led
3. Replace the 100 ohm resistor with a 1,000 ohm resistor
4. Observe the led
5. Repeat (3) and (4) with several different resistor
Observations
Resistor Resistance
(ohms)
100 ohms
1000 ohms
1000000 ohms
200 ohms

Led Brightness
Bright
less
No light
bright

Current (Amps)
0.05
0.005
0.000005
0.025

Discussion:
1. When the resistor is 100-200 ohms it is bright and when it goes higher
like to 1000-1,000,000 ohms it is less or sometimes no light.
2. The observation that I have recorded was the less the ohms the brighter
the light and the more the ohms the less the light.
Conclusion:
1.
