Professional Summary
I am currently a full-time student and am looking forward to utilizing the tools I have
learned with clientele as I walk along with them through the process of sobriety. I watch
the news daily or run into old acquaintances my need to offer support grows stronger.
Just by providing a few word of encouragement, like the words provided by the
Narcotics Anonymous One day at time, allows for the confidence that change is
possible.
Skills

I volunteered at a residential facility, and have two-year experience as a

caregiver. I took care of a man during his last days and was allowed to
spend his 80th birthday with him by preparing a meal and spending the
day with him.

Currently registered with CAADE, which is the California Association of for

Alcohol and Drug/Educator, being going over the skills required for an
effective substance abuse counselor.

During my time working for LAFAFA, my position was granted with working
for USPO United States Probation Office. I opened up the facility and did
UA testing for 5 to 10 individuals.

I am registered with the Project Fatherhood recovery program of the

Childrens Institute of Los Angeles. This program teaches parenting skills
to fathers who suffer from alcohol and substance abuse, and encourages
breaking the cycle of addiction.

I started my position at LAFAFA answering phones, making appointments and doing

UA tests. The UA tests continued with facilitating groups and taking care of a different
case loads of preparing Treatment plans, and other case management with the offering
of other resources like case notes for courts or probation officers. I also took care of the
USPO caseload of UA tests in addition to providing group therapy and co-facilitating
individual counseling sessions.
