The text has been combined with the relevant pictorial handouts to create a single
summary of the lectures that would have covered these topic areas.
The notes are of similar detail to those that are normally given in a lecture, and
should be an excellent basis for exam preparation - but students are encouarged,
as always to "read-around" the topic areas.
Please pay attention, in particular, to the notes covering Aluminium alloys and the
parts of these notes relating to superalloys, as employed in jet engine
manufacture. The small section on composites is also worth reading.
