Ecuador - Japan Trade Relations

Japan currently for Ecuador, represents the most important


market in Asia, with a population of about 127 million people
characterised by a high power of purchase ($28,700 a year)
but at the same time by a high demand on quality and
presentation of the demanded products.

Today, Japan is one of the largest importers of food in the world,


main pastime of the Japanese is to dine away from home, which
stimulates the import and consumption of products, the eating
habits of the Japanese determined that that country is a large
importer of seafood and fish. All of this sets up a very important
potential market for Ecuadorian exportable products.

have developed significantly, causing positive effects in the
Ecuadorian economy, the injection of capital from that country
is significant and it contributes to the development of the
production system in the country.

the 4.23% of total Ecuadorian imports came from Japan,
being mainly imported products: vehicles, tractors and
transport equipment; machinery and parts thereof;
appliances and electrical equipment and parts thereof;
rubber and rubber articles; aluminum and articles thereof;
smelting, iron and steel.
